Surprise Party
Just like to say what a great disco Gordon did for us on Saturday night. Wasn’t just the usual party, we had a surprise party on a boat. He had set up all his equipment prior to guest arriving!
Had sent an email prior to the event to find out information – songs, artists to be played or not to be played!
There was so many guests asking for requests all night and he played them. Also did all the celebration songs when we cut the cake and arrived on board, for the surprise!
I can’t recommend Gordon enough. If you want a good disco he is your man. Totally stress free to organise and had us up all
night dancing! Catered well for all ages on board too!

Gorden ( GREATER SOUNDS DISCO ) is a very warm and helpful guy with a great knowledge of music.
He really enjoys his work and is a great DJ – our event went with a swing because of him. He kept in touch before the event, gave advice, and on the night was punctual, set up quickly and supplied lights etc. Very good all round service, would recommend for any party.

Summer part 2021
We had a wonderful party with disco outside under the stars. We had all our favourite music and what we requested played which was great. We also had a microphone made avaliable to us for planned and off cuff speeches. We loved all the lighting. All contact has been good it was easy to plan and arrange the event. Thankyou

Fantastic wedding set up
Gordon was ever so friendly from the start and did a fabulous job with the evening disco at our Wedding! We left the whole music choice down to him and we couldn’t have asked for a better selection. The 4ft ‘love’ letters looked amazing and are definitely worth having.

Can’t thank Gordon and greater sound discos enough they saved the day for my little boys party after we were let down by another venue with covid. This was a very last minute thing and Gordon phoned at half 8 in the morning for a 1pm set up. Very friendly and reliable would recommend them to everyone will use this company again.

AMAZING!!!! It was my daughters 7th birthday party today. We booked a kids party entertainer and they rang us today and cancelled 2 hours before the party!! So jumped online called the first company we seen online. And the greater sounds disco answered and saved our little girls party! I can’t tell you how happy you made us all. Wedding Reception
Gordon DJ’d at our wedding reception last week. We had the most amazing party, it was so much fun we didn’t want it to end. From my first phone call with Gordon he was so accommodating, he went above and beyond to make sure it was a fantastic night. A professional set up. Excellent value for money. We had given him a few requests and left the rest to Gordon. Our guests commented on what a brilliant time they had and that was clear to see as they never left the dance floor all night. Sadly Gordon is unavailable to DJ at our daughter’s wedding next year.

A great set by Gordon for a 60th birthday party. A wide range of ages but he found music to suit most tastes, ultimately managing to fill the dance floor. Good sound system and light display – including personalised messages. Good communication from initial booking right through to party night and very accommodating. Highly recommended

Gordon is the perfect DJ!
I hired Gordon for a joint 60th birthday party for my husband and our friend. Gordon was helpful and efficient from the start, inviting us to make a playlist and and to advise him of the genre of music we wanted and of any special arrangements i.e., cake cutting, speeches etc. Gordon also explained that no deposit was required and that there was no cancellation fee, the fee covered everything such as floor and wall lighting, radio mics and on the night requests. Gordon contacted me several times leading up to our party just to check in with us which was very reassuring. On the night of the party, Gordon arrived 2 hours beforehand to set up (as promised) and was very flexible in his approach to utilise the available space as the stage was a little small. We had a fantastic night, Gordon played a wide range of amazing music which catered for all our guests. I can honestly say that Gordon is the perfect DJ and would love to hire him again in the future.

If We could give more than 5 stars ⭐️ We would! 5 Stars do not do this company justice “Greater sounds” absolutely made our wedding day we left everything in the hands of the DJ with no instructions at all and at no stage did we get let down the equipment was phenomenal the lights and personalised laser topped it off, he delivered the best music at the right times to keep the dance floor going and our guests were fully entertained all evening, if your looking for the best DJ entertainment for any event I’d say look no further I will use this company again and again. Gordon was absolutely brilliant !! We held a garden party which covered 60th birthdays: 21st birthday and 25th wedding anniversary. Gordon’s music had both the students and parents dancing all night long – we can’t recommend him highly enough.

40th birthday party and from the time we booked Gordon was great, friendly and accomodating. On the night the dance floor was filled all night and thats down to the great DJ nothing was to much trouble and the mix of music meant there was something for all ages to enjoy. Gordon and his team are very friendly and accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble and they really care. It’s nice to have a DJ that wants the night to be as much of a success as you do. Brilliant kit, light show and selection of songs. Gordon was happy to provide us with Karaoke along side the disco, which was a great touch. Fabulous 50th birthday disco!
I hired Grearer Sounds to celebrate my 50th Birthday. Gordon was amazing throughout the planning and on the night. We had great communication, through which I expressed the songs I wanted and when. Gordon took on board my list of wishes and made it all happen off to a tee on the night.
I met him at the club at the exact time he said he’d be there and everything started right on time. This impressed me as I know Gordon had best part of an hours travel to reach the venue.
Gordon was also open to requests on the night and remained flexible like a true pro.
I can’t speak highly enough of Gordon and Greater Sounds. I would highly recommend them and would look to them first in the future.

Brilliant DJ with karaoke machine!
Gordan Dj’d my Disney themed 21st party last Friday, he was able to do it with only a weeks notice, which was really appreciated from us. The music was brilliant and everything we asked for with the added bonus of a karaoke machine! I couldn’t have asked for anything more for from Gordan he went above and beyond to make sure it was all perfect and that we were happy! He was helpful, friendly and professional as well as playing great music which we all loved dancing to! I would highly recommend Gordan to anyone looking for a Dj! Experienced Friendly DJ
Gordon provided the disco for my 40th birthday celebrations. He set up early in the venue so that everything was ready for the party. A great range of music was played along with all the crowd pleasers. All the guests had a great time and commented on how nice it was to see some of the older hits. (YMCA, Time Warp, etc).
Really good value for money too. Pleasant friendly dj who is obviously experienced. I definitely would book again.

Wow! What a great guy! Not only did he deliver great tunes all night, but nothing was too much to ask for. Any song request that was asked for he played and he stayed longer than I’m sure he was supposed to! A great end to the school year for teachers/support staff to let their hair down and celebrate! Karaoke was a fun addition to the night too so we will definitely be booking him again! Didn’t want too much cheese and asked for more up to date music to be played, which he did. Brilliant. We booked Greater Sounds Discos for my daughters 7th Birthday party. Gordon was amazing had all the children up and dancing listened to what music we wanted and played games with them to keep them entertained. Will definitely be keeping his details to book again if we need a DJ

Greater sounds discos provided a professional service and created a fantastic atmosphere at our daughters wedding. They even checked out the venue the day before to provide the exact equipment to suit the size of room etc. All our guests were very complimentary and thoroughly enjoyed the tunes Gordon played. Everyone was up dancing from the start to the very end of the evening. Will highly recommend anyone to book with them!

I cannot recommend Greater Sounds Disco highly enough. I had the most amazing evening with a filled dance floor and no song request too small. From accepting Gordon’s extremely competitive quote, until the end of the evening, Gordon’s professionalism, communication and friendly character made my night one to remember. Without Gordon, I would not have known that the venue had lost my booking nearly leaving me with no party at all! He went above and beyond to reassure me and made a promise that he would not cancel my booking until all options had been exhausted, which I appreciated greatly. All my guests were so impressed with the music selection, many have taken business cards and I can assure you that I would have no hesitation in booking with Gordon again. Gordon was hired for a 60th birthday party. He was easy to deal with and nothing was too much trouble. He had a few ideas which he shared with us and made the evening even more special. His choice of music was excellent, he catered for the kids at the party & the older gursts as well. He has first class equipment & an almost unlimited catalogue of songs to choose from, he certainly played all the songs we requested.
In summary, a professional show, well presented and staffed & I would certainly recommend Gordon to anyone.

I had Gordon DJ’ing for my 21st Birthday party and couldn’t have been more impressed. He had amazing equipment from laser lights to a giant disco ball which made the venue look incredible. The theme was 80s disco and Gordon ensured that all the greatest songs were played. He asked me what I wanted and certainly delivered. Brilliant versatile Disco - highly recommend!
I can’t say enough good things about Greater Sounds! They recently DJ’d and MC’d brilliantly at a family charity gig for a friend and they played a blinder throughout and went way above the call of duty. Sons 21st an absolute blast with non stop music for all ages
We Love a party at ours and usually have iPods or CDs but on this occasion (21st) I had Gordon GSD and wow what a blast, lovely bloke very professional but also friendly and a good laugh music was non stop with something for everyone from Elvis to Metalica and the karaoke was great too will definitely recommend and use Greater Sounds DIsco in the future Thank Gordon you were great and the price was great too xx

Absolutely Brilliant Disco, lights and sound system. We had them for our Ruby wedding anniversary “Gordon” played a wide variety of music to suit all ages and tastes. His jovial personality came over well on the Mike. The only down side was that Gordon supports Wolves 😉

We have used Gordon a number of times now and his service that he has delivered has been more than outstanding. His communication before hand and on the day of the event has been excellent. I emailed him a playlist of all the songs I wanted to be played before and after certain times and he accommodated for this. He also took requests from us as the event holders and also our guests. He was really involved in our event from start to finished and got everyone up on the dance floor! Nothing is ever too much for him. I feel Gordon is very reasonably priced and will go out of his way to help anyone and really personalised your event. I would definitely recommend using Gordon he has always done a fab job when we have had him and I am looking forward to using him in the very near future for my wedding. Nothing bad to say atall!

Julias House charity disco and Karaoke evening
Gordon came to our local pub and presented a charity karaoke night – he was absolutely brilliant as he combined music and dancing in between the karaoke numbers . He carried the whole evening and whilst he obviously plays larger venues he has the capacity to scale his equipment to suit all sizes of venues . Our evening was a success and a great deal of that was due to the DJ – i would recommend him to anyone who wants to enjoy a great musical night out to suit all tastes.
